Ella enjoyed a morning of being pampered. I gave her beautiful curls and sparkly nails and toes. She is such a girly girl and loves this stuff.
As the doctor was wrapping Ella's splint yesterday, I was trying to think of ways to make it cuter. I knew Ella was going to want some kind of pink on it but I wasn't really sure what I was going to do with it. Then today Kristen had the genius idea of dying the ace bandage! It was perfect and so easy! Her hard splint is wrapped in two different layers of ace bandage so it's like the top layer was meant to be for accessorizing:)
I soaked the ace bandage in Petal Pink RIT dye for about 5 minutes. Squeezed it out in cold water and then put it in the washing machine.
I laid them flat to dry for about an hour and rolled them up to smooth out any wrinkles.
I thought it would be fun to add a little ouchie patch on the area of her broken bone. I cut out a felt heart and used freezer paper to stencil the word ouch!. I then sewed it on with embroidery thread.
I hope everyone is having a great week!

I read this post right after watching the Invisible Children Stop Kony video, and so obviously I'm crying. Just love what a sweet mom you are.
You are the sweetest most creative mom I know!! What a lucky little Ella! I think you just gave ace bandage an idea.
Aw Ella is such a trooper :) I wish you could bottle your creativity and sell me some in your Etsy shop.
