This past weekend we threw my cousin Lindsey a bachelorette party out at the lake. To say it was a blast is pretty much the understatement of the year. I could not have had more fun. Her friends were amazing, celebrating she and andrew was amazing, and my sister in law's job on planning and execution was BEYOND amazing. Beyond.
We decided to make it an Around the World theme because she and her fiancé Andrew love to travel and have traveled so many places. They actually did a trip around the world that had to be cut a little short due to natural disasters. Travel definitely makes me think of her and we wanted the shower to represent her in a way.
Then, on friday we all met at my aunt's house to load up in the party bus to get the party started. No one knew what we were doing because we wanted to keep it a surprise for Linds. The party bus had strobe lights and music, so we were all set up to party all the way there.
We forced Lins to wear all kinds of cheesy bachelorette attire and she was rockin it all.
Shannon pulled out the alcohol, suckers, straws and everything else you need to call it a bachelorette party.

Once we got to the lake and everyone found out where we were, I passed out these passport itineraries that I had made for the trip.
(These passports helped me out so much with what to put on everything. So so good.)
Our first stop in our travels was India. Shannon had a table set up on the ground outside where we sat on pillows and ate the most amazing indian food.
We all had our own bindis waiting for us when we got there to adorn our foreheads.
After we ate we had her lingerie shower,
(with gluten free cupcakes, of course)
Then, we had different kinds of hookah, got in the hot tub and toasted to the new bride to be. It was amazing.
We woke up the next morning, put on our shirts that heather designed and opened up our goodie bags.
We checked out 'India' in the daylight.
This is what was on the door when we got there- pictures of lindsey in all of the places that we were going to be 'traveling'.
And how cute are our sleeping arrangement cards???
After breakfast tacos, we played some games that I had made for Lins. You know, the ones where I ask andrew some questions about lindsey and then ask her the same ones. I made a copy for everyone and we went around the circle to see what everyone said.
I also made a little "he said, she said" game where I found out things that she had said and andrew had said and made everyone guess who said what.
Inspiration for this from here. How cute is hers!
Next, we traveled to Hong Kong, where the sweetest spa ladies came out and did massages, nails and facials for us while we snacked on cheese, salad and candy and hung out by the pool.
Candy bar that we snacked on with candy from every country.
After our relaxing day we traveled to Mexico where we took prom pics.
Next, we had a tequila tasting before dinner.
A girl came out to tell us about each tequila and how and where it was made. It was so interesting.
After tequila tasting and some adorable crochet cake toppers we headed out to dinner and partying.
There was a pinata, glowsticks, dance party to 90s music, all kind of bachelorette things for linds to wear and a pentena. amazing.
We arrived back in the good ol' US of A the next morning and boy, was it sad to leave. We had the best time. I love every single one of lindseys friends, being together, relaxing and most importantly, celebrating the wedding coming up!! Love you so much Lins and Andrew and can not wait until the amazing I DO. You both mean the world to me and I could not be happier for you both!

A bachelorette party is all about popping bottles and having fun, Kristen! Judging by the pictures, it looks like the party was a heck of a blast. I'm happy for you guys! All thanks to your sister-in-law. Congratulations to Lindsey and her husband! :) Is she the one in the first picture wearing a crown? Look, don't get me wrong, okay? But she looks really cute! :P
