My pregnancy cravings have been a little out of control lately. I can be watching a tv show and see someone eat a piece of chocolate or a commercial for a pizza and I immediately have to have it right then. The other day I had a very random craving as I was reading my weekly pregnancy update from baby center. It always tells me how big my baby is by comparing it to some type of food. This week my baby McKenna is the length of a spaghetti squash.
Yep, seems about right.
As soon as I read the words spaghetti squash I had a craving for it and headed to the store to get one. My sweet friend Morgan introduced me to spaghetti squash in college and it really is so good!
If reading this post is making you crave spaghetti squash, here is how to cook it.
Cut the squash in half long ways and scrape out all the seeds in the middle. Then fill the bottom of a plate with water and place squash face down and cover with some kind of plastic saran wrap. Microwave for 7 minutes. Take a fork and pull it along the inside of the squash, it will easily separate into spaghetti strands. There are lots of different recipes that you can make with spaghetti squash. I just put a little butter and parmesan cheese on mine and it's delicious.
I looked ahead on baby center and it says that next week McKenna will weigh about as much as a large mango. That sounds good, might need to go stock up on some of those:)

What a cute bump!!
And is the squash really good? Or just "weird vegetable" good? I'm still skeptical...
This is so cute! I have never made spaghetti squash. Maybe I should!
