fort worth zoo

Last week Lindsay, Aly and me took all the kids to the Fort Worth Zoo and it was so fun! Beautiful weather and matching dresses made for a perfect day at the zoo.

Ella and me had so much fun being in Colleyville all last week. Besides catching that dang stomach bug thats going around, it was so great getting to spend time with family and friends. Kinley's 1st birthday party was a blast and for those of you that missed it you should totally check it out here!

happy easter

Lindsay, Kristen and me combined our love for elastic waist skirts and matching on this Easter Sunday. We all made some elastic waist skirts with different colored searcuckered fabric and wore them to church today.

We are still in Colleyville so we went to the same church as Lindsay this morning. We know it's kinda dorky to match but we just can't help it:) We just love it!

I used yellow searcucker for me and Ella's skirt and I made coordinating hair clips to match. Kristen and Lindsay used blue searcuckered for their skirts. Next year Kristen will have to teach us how to make a tie so the hubbies will match too. Pics of Kristen's fam will be coming soon.

heart and soles

so, blair is at it again!! she (of course) got her invitation, and went straight to our favorite shoe source and got the girls heart vans!! love them!! ben got old navy ones because boys dont really have any cute heart options...

i, of course, told everyone how great they are and then went straight to the vans website to buy matching ones for myself and they didnt have them!! i was so bummed. so al, behind the scenes, scoured the internet for the matching ones and she couldnt find them but she found these on ebay for 15 dollars...

how fabulous are these!! i am so excited!! party hearty or bust.

Anna came in town a couple weekends ago and we had SO much fun!

Ella and me have both been sick the last couple of days and today we had matching fevers.

We have stayed in the house and taken "couch potato" to a whole new level!

We put the blow up mattress in front of the tv and have lived here for the last 48 hours.

Hopefully we will be feeling better soon!

look how cute these christmas tree vans are that blair got the kids!!! i love them!! so cute. they love them too. they just giggle when i put them on!

they also had a lot of fun playing with their little twin baby dolls and their strollers.

i got kinda excited about thanksgiving (although i really got excited about christmas last night at al and bobs because of bobs amazing ability to hang lights) and decided to try and make turkey shirts. they are ruffly and kinda alot but they were my first try...i may try another look...i havent made ben's yet, either, because i dont know how to go about that without it looking kinda girly (we all remember the tunic...). so ill let you know about that one.

sass got to wear hers when she woke up from her nap and she loves it!

i also went to jordans blog(that is so fantastic) and loved her pics from the my mama made it blog and decided to try a skirt with pockets. it was so fun. a little big, but i really liked it.

fun to sew on sunday afternoons. great weekend. hope your's was great too.

while blair was here we got her her first pair of skinny jeans! we got some from wal mart (copying linds who bought some miley cyrus jeans that are so cute) and some at gap, where blaine works, and we copied her whole outfit pretty much. we got these sweaters that really are so soft and i think it will be my winter uniform.

we tried out a new park and it was super fun! there was some dirt (that my kids loved) and lots of places to crawl around. unfortunately you really have to have go-go gadget arms and legs when you have two kids (that should be walking) crawling up everything and thinking they can slide down by themselves and climb up ladders...it was kind of nuts but everyone loved it. mission accomplished.

and the kids all wore their matching old navy shirts and tights (well, everyone except ben). we LOVE old navy and we were so excited to do our fall shopping there and get lots of matching stuff (i.e. we love matching mondays, or really matching anydays...)

ella knows she should be afraid of being up on a higher plane than usual and should walk cautiously... not sass. she thinks that even with her feet that are way to small for her round body that she can walk wherever with no fear. she is nuts-ola.
