A couple of days ago, when I was helping avery clean their room she tried to casually ask me if I had showered this morning. I told her no and she said, "you should go shower right now". I asked her why and she told me that I smelled bad and when I asked her what she meant by that she said " you know, like you always do".
With that punch to the gut, I actually took her advice and jumped in the shower before jeff got home, but did it so fast that I didnt bother shutting the door. Ben came in and asked what I was doing and I told him that I was showering, and he asked me "why?" (he isnt used to seeing me clean). I told him that Avery had told me I smelt bad and I wanted to smell better. He got the shyest grin on his face and said just so kindly, "but you are still so pretty mommy".
Melt my heart bud. Nothing sweeter than you, my angel ben. Nothing. So thankful for when my kids keep it real and when they lie a little to make me feel better :)
