maybe next time...

Here's an update on what happened with the ellen tweet from yesterday. My mom was so great and got to the location on time, gave her dollar bill with "Ellen" on it and then waited in the crowded parking lot with lots of people hoping their ticket number would get called. My mom doesn't have a twitter nor know anything about it so I stayed on the phone with her and told her what the tweets were saying from Ellen. She didn't win but it was so fun thinking maybe she might! Me and Kristen just love Ellen so this was such a fun thing to be apart of even though it was through my mom on the phone! Thanks so much mom for doing this for me, it was so fun!

10 tickets were called and those 10 people had to dress up. Top 5 winners from that got a chance to win a big prize!

Bob kept video taping me just in case my mom did win something cause he knew I would have been flipping out! There is no flipping out from winning on this video but there is a lot of excitement! Me and Kristen were on 3 way with my mom trying to live vicariously through her! We just love Ellen!

I follow Ellen on twitter and just got a tweet that said Dallas followers go to Sewell GMC by 5:30 and write "Ellen" on a dollar and give it to Jeannie to be in the running for some big prizes!!! If me and Kristen were in Dallas we would be all over this but since we are stuck here in lubbock my mom is representing us!! We are so excited and crossing our fingers that she wins something!! Tickets to the show would rock our world! Thanks so much for being a good sport mom!!! You might thank me later!

miley's oldest fans

Me, Kristen, Celeste and Ella took a fun road trip over the weekend. Jeff stayed here with Kristen's kids and Bob had to study all weekend, so Ella tagged along with us. She was a trooper and did so great! We headed to Abilene late Friday night. We got there around midnight and picked my sister Anna up from her dorm, hung out with Michael (Kristen's brother) and Carly (Celeste's sister), did a jack in the box run and checked in hotel at 2am! Ella never fused a bit, she loved it. Saturday morning we went to homecoming breakfast and the parade. Running on 3 1/2 hours of sleep we then headed to Colleyville.

Then came Sunday! We put on our Miley Cyrus jeans (which are fabulous and can be bought at your local wal-mart) and headed to American Airlines Center for her concert. We have never seen so much glitter, pink and tutus in one place. We were surrounded by little girls all decked out for Miley. We were by far her oldest fans there, it was hilarious! It was so much fun and she put on a great concert.

We drove back to Lubbock today and had so much fun in the car. Ella watched Mama Mia maybe 5 times while me, Kristen and Celeste sang every Reba song at the top of our lungs. I love car trips like that! 90's country is just the best.

Ella did so great in the car because of Kristen's creative backseat fun, this one was a hit. We called it a bad case of the dots.

more on the weekend later, but for now- this amazing girl is going to nursing school!! yea brycie!! we all knew you could do it and we are more than proud of you for working so hard!! thank you for staying here with us to help us function as a family but we know its your time to grow and shine and help so many other people with your new nursing skills!! we can't wait to hear about everything you learn next semester at SFA!! they are so lucky to have you!! love you soooooo much and we are soooo proud of the amazing person you are and nurse you will be!!

acu homecoming 09'

We headed out to Abilene yesterday afternoon for ACU homecoming. We are going to our club breakfast at 6:30 am this morning and then watching the ACU parade. This is a pic of us at breakfast two years ago. I am 4 months prego with Ella and Kristen is 1 month prego with twins and didn't even know it yet!

This afternoon we are getting back in the car and headed to the dallas/ft. worth area for a very exciting event on Sunday! We will be noddin' our heads like "yeah!" and movin' our hips like "yeah!" If you can't figure out where we will be from that then you aren't as cool as us and will just have to wait for pics!
