ben's blanket

so, i am a huge fan of the fantastic blog, katie did, and i openly tried (with not much success) to copy the easter dresses that she made a few months ago and now i am copying the quilts that she makes. they are super easy and, hers are way cuter, but here is my first try. i have a few photos of the steps to making it but, she describes it much better (and has more pics) so go to her blog and let her show you...i don't trust myself, yet.

so anyway, here is the new blanket for ben, in his bed, so soft and ready for him to snuggle with (with his bottle that he only gets in bed, with water...i know, i know. we are stopping it soon, i promise)...

and then we go outside and this is how the kid repays me...

he goes and gets himself all muddy.

andy comes to visit

Our good friend Andy came to visit this weekend! We had so much fun with him. We played a little lubbock bingo then had a fun night at our house with games and dessert. We can't wait for Andy to come back again soon!

happy labor day

Guess what I'm about to do?

In honor of Labor Day, I decided to do some of Bob's work for him so he could fully enjoy his Labor Day weekend. I mowed the lawn for my very first time!

summer wrap up...

its been such a fun summer!! slip n slides, pools, parties, vacations, fun visitors. new roomates!

so perfect. so sad to say good bye but so excited that fall is almost here!! welcome to september!!
