Ella's favorite part of the beach is seating in a chair eating snacks. She is so my daughter.
It has been such a fun filled week with lots of family and we are so sad to head back home tomorrow. I will post more (and tons of pics) of our vaca later. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

It's someones special day today!

If you know Kristen and I you know how much we love a party. Especially a birthday party. So it makes us very excited to give a birthday shout out to Lindsay Hedlund today on her 22nd birthday!!!

A little bird told me (ok maybe two) that Lindsay is a lullabylubbock reader. I can't tell you how much it means to Kristen and I when we hear that people really do enjoy reading our blog. It still shocks us when we find out that people like to hear stories about our crazy sweet kids and cheesy crafts. It really does make our day!
So when two of Lindsay's sweet sweet friends asked us to give her a birthday shout out we were beyond thrilled!

Lindsay is a faithful woman of God. Some of her loves in life are horses, dogs, climbing trees, camping, riding bikes, hotdogs, and anything spontaneous or adventurous. She sounds like such a sweet girl with wonderful roommates who love her so much.
Happy Birthday Lindsay! We hope you have a fabulous day!

Twin Room Mini Redo

I have been wanting to repaint the babies furniture for a while now and I dont know what happened to me this week, but I got on a roll.  ok.  I know what came over me, style files.  Guys, this site is so stinkin cute I could not get over it.  It made me want to curl up in a ball on every sofa and every bedroom they showed.  Ohmygosh I cant stop looking at it.
Channeling style files, I repainted my white table, my laundry room doors and both the babies dressers.  I got away with using the sample jar of paint on both of them, even though they probably need a second coat...oh well.  And I finally put on the new drawer knobs even though now I realize that I just got 8 instead of 12...I am really a genius.

Then I finally got around to hanging the sarah jane prints that I bought awhile ago.
And of course I could not think to put the S in front of the B so it didnt look like their initials were cussing.  Oh well.

The gray is kind of dark, but I got used to it pretty fast.  Pay no attention to the green that is showing through it.

And we found a place to hang their backpacks so that they can reach them.
And we got a rug.  It is kind of like the room is livable now.  I can actually look in that room and not want to immediately walk out.  So, I am not quite ready for style files to post my room, but at least we are headed into a better direction...

Crochet Chargers

For this mother's day I made my mom in law a few crochet chargers.  Nothing too exciting, but I like how they turned out.  I also made my grandmother in law (?) some pot holders. They were all nothing to write home about, but they will def be fun on a table.  And since I get on kick...

I think she liked them.  I tried some with twine for a more natural look but I havent finished yet.  I will get back to you with those.  And maybe you could get real rope and do like a door rug?  what do you call those?  Entry way rugs?  Door mats.  Thats it.  Door mats.  gotcha.  Ok, Sorry.  Thanks for my brain fart. I clearly need a little more R&R squeezed into this sunday night...
Hope you guys had a great weekend :)

Hi mom,

Happy mother's day to all the moms out there! I hope everyone is driving around by themselves or checking into individual hotel rooms and running nice long baths and letting your phone ring and ring while someone else takes on your motherly duties maxing and relaxing and enjoying today!
I did a few things this week that ill share later, but today I just wanted to tell you all happy mothers day (whether you are a mom to a child, dog, cat, friend, whatever)
I also wanted to acknowledge that I know that some of you wanted this mother's day to be something positive for you but this year (or every year) was full of disappointments and difficult times.  I know that Mother's day can either be a day of celebration or a memory of things you are reminded of all the time. I truly can not imagine that kind of pain and loss.  Happy day to you guys, too, and know that we are praying for you and thinking of you too.
Have a great day today!
