bringing a little spring into their wardrobe

so i made these dresses last night because avery brought me this fabric and asked me to make her a dress (guess who runs the show at my house...). i copied dana at MADE (we all know how much we love her) a little with the idea but each dress is a little different and aves needs a little fixing at where the sleeves attach to the top of the dress...

she is calling it her cinderella dress? who knows...but she likes it. and it looks like spring, so we are excited.

open house

sorry for the lack of posting lately. with our house on the market, four ear infections between three kids in two weeks, and al getting so many 'tiny' things done, we are kinda MIA.

this weekend we are having an open house in hopes that our house sells fast (esp before july!). so we have been cleaning, like, i dont know, every five minutes and following our two dogs and three kids around with a vacuum and clorox wipe everywhere. we are not really that clean on a regular basis...i mean, i try to pick everything up and that sort of thing, but not really that good at dusting and actual cleaning. so this keeping our house clean in case anyone calls stuff is not the easiest. anyway, i thought i would show a few pics of the house; not super exciting, but pretty clean, which is kinda exciting.

playroom. do you see those clothes on the chair? the first thing avery does is strip off her pedestrian clothes so she can put on her real clothes (i.e. her princess dresses).

so there you have it. nothing exciting. hopefully it will sell fast...we are def praying for that.

happy birthday lullaby lubbock

one year and 288 posts later, we are officially having a birthday!! woo-hoo! we can not believe that its been a year. that is so crazy. so much has happened...we have learned so much about different crafts, parties, our kids, blogging, creativity; its just been so much fun. we had no idea what we were getting ourselves into when we first started. the first few months we had a few pictures sporadically that were kinda uneventful, but we were excited to document our lives in lubbock and our kids. that eventually opened us up to the blog world of so many other moms, friends and strangers (that we now feel like are our friends because we look at their blogs daily) who are so inspiring, creative and fun. thank you so much for looking at our blog and for inspiring us to create new and fun crafts, parties and more exciting activities with our kids!

Guess who turns two this month?!

Ella!

This time last year I was making over sized lollipops for Ella's Candyland first birthday party.

This weekend I started working on some stuff for Ella's second birthday party. The theme is going to be "tiny two." Tiny invitations, tiny food, tiny favors, tiny crafts, and lots of tiny kids running around! I am making a tiny town out of boxes that hopefully will come together like I have it pictured in my head. It is going to be a big project but I am very excited about it!

The workers at Lowes know me by name now, I have been collecting boxes from them the last couple of weeks. I put a coat of primer on them last night. I will keep you updated on the progress of Ella's tiny town!

snow day/sew day!

We had a snow/sew day today! You never know what your gonna get with the weather in Lubbock these days and today we got snow! It was such a fun day. Ella played in the snow and I sewed some of those fabulous elastic waist skirts that Kristen made the other night. They really are so easy to make.

The teal and white stripe skirt was Ella's favorite. The second I put it on her she spun round and round till she couldn't walk straight.
